This presentation is based upon Robert Day’s “How to write and publish a scientific paper” with many other references, serving as a survival skill for young marine researchers and graduate students. What are the scientific designs for field observation and lab experiment, and what are the scientific methods of hypothesis testing with inductive and deductive seasonings? What are tips for writing paper with the IMRAD argument format that provides critical readers with the information they need. When failure is not an option, how should you maximize your chance of success?
